Reproductive Services

Dr. Donald Thompson, a 1984 Cornell graduate, relocated to Pagosa Springs in 2013 after 30 years in Vermont and now owns Elk Park Animal Hospital. Raised on a dairy farm in Northern NY, he's a true mixed animal practitioner treating pets, horses, cattle, and camelids. Certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 2003, he integrates holistic therapies like cold laser, ozone, and PEMF with Western medicine. A published author and international lecturer, Dr. Thompson is committed to individualized care and growing Elk Park's reputation in Southwestern Colorado.

Dr. Thompson

Veterinarian

Dr. Natasha Cheyenne Tokar brings a well-rounded background to Elk Park, with experience in mixed animal medicine, surgery, large animal emergencies, and integrative care including herbal medicine and acupuncture. A former vet tech of nearly a decade, she's passionate about compassionate, thorough care with a focus on integrative and preventative medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, art, and training her dog Iridessa. She lives with her partner Wyatt and their three dogs: Zayna, Anya, and Iridessa.

Dr. Tokar

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Natascha is a Veterinary Assistant with five years of experience and a passion for equine health, who shares her Pagosa home with a family, a dog, two cats, and three horses, including a six-year-old mustang she is currently training.
